Convert a HEIC to JPG right here

This is the real tool, not a demo. Drop a HEIC/HEIF file and it will be decoded and converted in your browser — no upload, no waiting on a server.

How it works

Local by design, not by accident

The codecs are real WebAssembly still-image decoders and encoders — the same class of library a desktop converter uses — compiled for the browser and run in a Worker so the page stays responsive.

  1. 01

    Drop a file

Choose HEIC/HEIF — or a JPG, PNG or WebP when you are converting back. Nothing is sent anywhere.

  2. 02

    It runs on your device

The image is decoded and re-encoded in a Web Worker with WebAssembly, then the result is re-opened to check it is valid.

  3. 03

    Download

Save each file, or all of them as a ZIP. Close the tab and nothing is left behind.

What goes in, what comes out

  • HEIC / HEIFJPG · PNG · WebP · AVIF · PDF
  • JPG · PNG · WebPHEIC
  • HEICMetadata, EXIF and structure as JSON
  • HEICEmbedded thumbnail as PNG

Who it is for

The everyday HEIC problems, solved

iPhone photos on Windows

Windows cannot open HEIC without extra codecs. Convert to JPG and the file opens in any app, editor or upload form.

Sending photos that always open

Most websites and older programs expect JPG. Convert once and the attachment, print or upload simply works.

Smaller files for the web

Compress, resize to exact dimensions, or hit a target kilobyte size before publishing a photo.

Sharing without location data

See the GPS, camera and timestamp fields in a file, then strip them and download a clean copy.

See the trade-off

The same photo, four ways

Real encodings of one sample image, produced by the same encoder the tools use. Compare each file size against its magnified detail to see exactly what a format costs — this is the decision the compressor, resize and target-size tools put in your hands.

Privacy by architecture

Your photos stay on your device.

This is not a policy promise that could change quietly — there is no upload step to remove. The tools decode and re-encode locally, so the files never leave your browser in the first place.

  • No uploads. Files are decoded and re-encoded in your browser; nothing is transmitted.
  • No accounts and no storage. There is no server copy to delete because none is made.
  • Outputs are re-opened and validated before they are offered for download.
  • Untrusted files are parsed with hard bounds and decoded in a Worker, so a bad file cannot take down the page.
  • File contents and metadata never appear in analytics; only coarse, anonymous events are recorded.
